When these clients couldn’t decide upon which architect to work with, they took the unusual step of funding both firms to prepare a concept design. Happily they chose us and the scheme is due to start on site in the Autumn. You can see below the evolution of the design from our concept elevation to the scheme that is to be built
We will be removing two existing poor quality additions to the lovely Georgian end of terrace, replacing them with a pair of contrasting painted brick and zinc clad extensions. The interlocking pitched roofs echoed the roofs of the existing house, respond to context and create interesting light and voluminous interior spaces.
Despite being in a Lambeth Conservation Area, our proposals were successful at the first attempt.
